Membrane Keyboards

The membrane keyboard serves as the flagship component of any device. Therefore, it is imperative that Touch Design® produces it with utmost precision and care. Leveraging various screen and digital printing techniques, we are capable of crafting membrane keyboards of exceptionally high quality and sophisticated design.

The following effects can be achieved:

  • Paint dispersing

  • Area- or halftone printing, and color gradients

  • Special surface coatings and texture effects

    • Matt textured, glossy, anti-reflective, brushed and metallic effects

  • Antibacterial coatings

  • Embossing techniques

    • high, low, frame and bubble embossings, as well as finishing front foils with a transparent polyurethane resin for optimum finger guidance and operation

  • Colored transflective films

  • Windows with different filter colors both transparent or translucent with scattering effect

Technical features:

  • The circuits are very important parts of customer-specific membrane keypads

  • Depending on the application, the circuits are produced in conductive silver or as a thin-film circuit made of high-quality copper materials

  • A platinum version is also available

Equippable with a backlighting system

  1. Membrane keyboards with silver conduction

    In this established technology, membrane keyboards are executed with economic considerations in mind. The membrane keyboard in conductive silver ink technology is always supplemented with an additional graphite-printed corrosion protection layer. Additionally, depending on the application area, high-quality gold-plated metal snap domes and embossing are added to provide better tactile feedback.

  2.  The thin-film circuit membrane keyboards are made of high-quality copper material

    This technology allows us to assemble the base foil of the copper-clad switching level with electromechanical components such as LEDs, plugs, ICs, series resistors, etc.
    We only use high-quality copper materials, which guarantees the use of a durable keyboard under extreme conditions such as high humidity or extreme temperatures (-40°  - 80°). This enables the absolute reliability of the keypad when installed in the housing.
